The ILL is an international research facility at the forefront of neutron science and technology. Its High-Flux Nuclear Reactor delivers the world’s most intense neutron beams to a suite of over 40 scientific instruments. Every year, some 1800 international researchers visit the ILL to carry out cutting-edge experiments across a range of scientific disciplines, driving innovation in the fields of health, energy, the environment and quantum materials. The ILL is also involved in the production of radioisotopes for medical applications. The ILL employs over 500 staff from 25 different countries, in a diversity of careers and a multicultural and inclusive environment.

The ILL’s Quality, Risk Management and Nuclear Safety Unit (CQSR - Cellule Qualité Sûreté Risques) is a small, dynamic team of five people which reports directly to ILL Management. The core mission of the CQSR is to maintain and improve the ILL’s Integrated Management System (IMS), which enables the Institute to comply with regulatory requirements for basic nuclear installations (INB - Installation nucléaire de base). This includes aspects relating to nuclear safety and quality management.

Your tasks
As quality assurance engineer, you will play an active part in the development and maintenance of the IMS. Your main duties will be to:
•    Manage the process for monitoring fulfilment of commitments (improvement actions) 
•    Manage the process for monitoring regulatory changes and compliance
•    Propose solutions to help process managers maintain and improve their processes  
•    Support engineers and technicians with the documentation requirements associated with technical projects to upgrade the facility
•    Participate in IMS process reviews
•    Help to lead training sessions on the IMS 
•    Prepare and conduct internal and external quality audits (including field work) on IMS processes 
Once you have received training: 
•    Take on the role of contact person for corruption prevention and fraud control officer (information gathering, awareness-raising, whistleblowing contact person) 
•    Perform event analyses from an HOF perspective
•    Assist with the preparation of the periodic information campaign on industrial hazards

•    Master’s degree (or equivalent) in quality assurance or Master’s degree in general engineering with proven experience in quality assurance. 
•    Solid professional experience is required. 
•    Experience in the nuclear sector is required. 
•    Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). 
•    Excellent writing skills in French. 
•    Well-organised and methodical with a responsive attitude; good teamwork skills.
